Dogs in Town Parks

    • Dogs are welcome in all town parks provided that they are under owner control at all times (verbal commands or leashed).
    • However, we ask that all dogs be leashed while visiting:
      • Halfway Brook Trail
      • Hovey Pond
      • Rush Pond Trail
    • Additionally, we ask that dogs not be allowed on athletic fields or sporting courts.
    • The Parks & Recreation Department will assist in facilitating a report to SPCA of Upstate NY, but has no enforcement authority - this service has been contracted to SPCA of Upstate NY (518)798-5656

    Reminders

    • Leashes are required at Hovey Pond Park, Halfway Brook Trail and Rush Pond Trail.
    • Please keep your dog under your control, within sight and hearing distance while enjoying our trails.
    • Please clean up after your dog and dispose of waste properly.
