Halfway Brook Trail is a 1.2-mile pathway that travels through the Glens Falls City Watershed Property, locally known as “Potter’s Woods.” This trail is the result of many years of cooperative discussions and then finally an agreement between the City of Glens Falls and the Town of Queensbury to allow public access for passive recreation. This important pathway safely links the Aviation Road corridor and neighborhoods to those of Peggy Ann Road. Trail users will wind their way through sections of a working tree farm, wetlands, see a variety of wildlife present, and cross a hand-built bridge over Halfway Brook. This watershed property, though no longer part of the City’s active water supply, still serves an important role in our area ecosystem. |
We encourage leashed dogs; however, dogs must be under the control of the owner at all times.
