Volunteer! Be a Coach!
The department sponsors and operates a number of youth sports leagues each year and we ask for your assistance in coaching the following youth sports:
- Soccer (fall)
- Basketball (winter)
These youth sports leagues are designed to be recreational level activities whereby children are learning basic concepts, exercising, being with their peer group and having FUN!
If you are willing to assist us by being a coach or an assistant coach, the department would greatly appreciate it. Volunteer coaches are the life blood of these leagues – it couldn’t be done without your help! Each interested coach must complete a volunteer coaching form and submit it to the parks and recreation office (see downloadable form).
